I actually like the review, even if it doesn't align with my taste. However, one criticism: you give too much importance to this innovation/experimentation in music... so does any record by John Lee Hooker deserve a 1?

great disc, along with making movies the best of the straits in my opinion, permeated by beautiful blues-rock atmospheres. the influence of the master jj cale can be felt a mile away, much more seminal than his sparse discography would suggest. it's not just sultans of swing, to be honest I can't find a mediocre track...

The review is a bit academic for my tastes, but still not bad! From Stewart's 80s era, I cherish the album "Tonight I'm Yours" and a bit (hissim)o else. After some stellar records straddling the 60s and 70s (with Jeff Beck, the Faces, and the trio from "Gasoline Alley," "Every Picture...," "Never a Dull Moment"), he’s somewhat lost his way. I haven't listened to this one, but—sorry—I doubt it's essential for any respectable club...
