Al Stewart Year Of The Cat

a review as beautiful as this is certainly not wasted! It’s not the first or the second time I read it, by the way… the album is wonderful to me; at times I used to play my father's LP until it was worn out, and today I’m celebrating the purchase of the CD I made yesterday!

it's not like he's such a phenomenon, often mediocre songs or anyway not exceptional sung by an almost anonymous voice! I saw him perform twice in Cagliari (it was free, by the sea) and while the first time I was impressed by the show, the second one was a huge disappointment, worsened voice, same setlist, and the same identical spoken interludes in a show lasting just an hour. god of blues is still a great piece!

John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers A Hard Road

I apologize, Bender. Before writing the review, I read the album's cover notes, enriched in the reissue with the history of the record. In fact, Clapton left the Bluesbreakers in July 1966, but while reading, I almost took for granted that the same Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton had been released earlier (oversight? ignorance? I don't even know myself) than that July '66, which, upon double-checking, I found to be false (it was released right in that month). That said, I did not understand the meaning of your first comment, where you refer to "Dust My Broom." What specifically are you referring to, the questionable title or the questionable author? In both cases, I had doubts myself because it seems that no one can definitively attribute it to James or Johnson. However, I preferred to attribute it to James because it is specifically credited to him on "A Hard Road," both in the cover notes and on Wikipedia. As for the title, I was unsure about "I'll Dust My Broom" or the version without "I'll," but I wrote "Dust My Broom" because I have more often encountered it with that designation. Sorry for the lengthy reply; talk to you soon.

In my opinion, you can't give a 5 to a mishmash of songs (even if they're amazing) thrown together almost randomly.

A very heartfelt piece, I liked it a lot as well, especially as I'm delving more and more into the extraordinary world of blues! Unfortunately, I have never had the chance to come across this album!

historical disc that was missing here on debaser! I think it’s practically impossible to find on CD, I'm fortunate to have it on LP and it’s truly a delight, even if it's probably not a 5-star! double 4.5 that doesn’t disappoint anyone.

Anyway, what an embarrassingly poor record! The worst I’ve come across in the motor discography!
