Ian Hunter & The Rant Band Live @ Alcatraz, Milano 05.05.10
Voto:
Yes, his latest album is indeed a pleasure to listen to! I'm not an die-hard fan of his, but I would love to see him live... silly question, hasn't he played "All the Young Dudes"?
Robbie Robertson Robbie Robertson
Voto:
A curiosity, but what has the guy been up to since the band disbanded until this solo debut?
Joe Walsh But Seriously, Folks!
Voto:
stunning cover even though it doesn't look like a photo! beautiful writing, the album would deserve it just for the artwork. I didn't like the final line, which somewhat ruins it.
Madness One Step Beyond
Voto:
I listened to a special on the radio about them yesterday before a concert in London, they really inspire me! They also played a very famous song that’s a bit dark, gothic. Does anyone have more precise information?
Ry Cooder Get Rhythm

He seems like an extravagant artist, I like him!

I'm limiting myself to the review; I don't know the album.
Eric Clapton Slowhand
Voto:
Here it is! After this slowhand, I hardly listened to anything by Clapton from the '80s and '90s (with the exception of Unplugged) before picking up again with Riding with the King and the excellent Me and Mr. Johnson, which, coincidentally, are cover albums. I'm not saying that Clapton can't compose, because he has written gems like Strange Brew, Sunshine of Your Love, Tales of Brave Ulysses, and Presence of the Lord (all from the '60s), and half of Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs. In the following years, he delivered a few more notable works, but he's not a prolific or extraordinary songwriter; I think we can agree on that.
Muddy Waters Electric Mud
Voto:
I've heard a lot of bad things about this album.
Miles Davis 1958 Miles

First, I need to make some other purchases (there are Tatum and Coltrane on sale around here), but the writing is really enjoyable!
