Miles Davis At Newport 1958

Great review as always, Davis is a character I should get to know better apart from those few albums I'm familiar with so I can discuss him properly.

I completely agree with the discussion about the sabbath, I’ve thought the same thing many times... but let me understand, can your review work with some modifications?

I don't agree with you when you say that Cream combines rock, blues, and a cheesy pop-rock; I only see the first two elements. In my opinion, the pop-rock in Cream is limited to that scandalous triptych "Passing the Time"/"As You Said"/"Pressed Rat and Warthog," which is part of the first half of "Wheels of Fire," undoubtedly the lowest point of Cream! Analyzing their individual albums, "Fresh Cream" is an excellent blues revival album, "Disraeli Gears" is a blues-rock record with some touches of psychedelia, and "Wheels of Fire" alternates rock pieces with blues standards, not to mention their endless live escapades. That said, I really appreciate this concert, which sounds damn good even if a bit formal. "We're Going Wrong," as you say, is the peak of the live performance, truly intense; at first listen, I feared that Bruce would suddenly lose his voice! The version of "Sunshine of Your Love" is below par.

I really enjoyed the movie; I rented it twice. The plot is relatively predictable, but it's a hilarious film, with the soundtrack of the year.

great review, enhanced by the fantastic closing! a note, in my opinion the phrase "(in my opinion beautiful like never before)" could have been managed better! it's not easy to give serious and constructive negative criticism, you nailed it... I wouldn't watch the film even under torture!
