I just downloaded it a couple of days ago, and tonight I'm playing it for the first time! And the review promises me a nice hour of music...
Charlie Patton Founder Of The Delta Blues 1929-34

In search of your old reviews following a nice comment on silence, I find that in the first one I open there’s a beautiful reflection on the same silence that permeates many fixed points of the blues. Charlie Patton I’ve heard mentioned several times, maybe this will be the good time I listen to him!

The expression "one of the best live performances in history" is a bit clichéd, but here it totally fits.

It's a shame, though, that the album can't even be found on the mulo!

It's true those arpeggios won't be heard anymore... but pop and especially rock have nothing to do with the album.

there's a type of reception for everything, this fits perfectly! I saw them last summer near Cagliari and I found them really tired, I was a bit disappointed. and Ian for the occasion tinkered with the flute, but he really couldn't manage the vocals!

I also find the review very nice, but it's missing something for a full 5.

They are definitely an intriguing and creative band, their first three albums filled with some good heavy rock (but in my opinion not exactly hard), then the turning point with the great Agents of Fortune, which personally accompanied me through many Christie reads, the decent Spectres and the hit Fire of... the other albums (aside from the live ones, which I've never listened to) are one or more steps below.

You said it all, great job, a solid 5! I really appreciate Kooper, and I have to say this album is very nice as well. Not a masterpiece, I agree, but a seminal work with some splendid ideas and others (the overture, for example) a bit out of place. It seems to be around 50 minutes long, which for that time was quite average; if they had trimmed those extra 10 minutes, it would have been an amazing album. However, this is the only LP I know of the band; do the others stick to the same musical direction?
