Queen A Kind of Magic
Voto:
A good analysis, the album overall is Pop/Rock. Due to the sound level and the rhythm of some tracks, we actually approach the style and language of hard rock. What you say in the review is valid, but it’s also possible for someone to say that it's Hard Rock!
The Dolphin Brothers Catch The Fall
Voto:
Good review, it conveys the idea well, but I don’t agree with everything you wrote. For me, it remains a good album, Jansen is amazing, his percussive style is something unique!
Ultravox Vienna
Voto:
Well done Ege, you're an audiophile too! My Rotel is 10 years old, still sounds great, just like the old Chario speakers. Among the Ultravox, the best ones are those with Foxx, but those with Ure are also excellent and always very interesting.
David Bowie "Hours..."
Voto:
For me, you exaggerated by saying that the less successful tracks are that bad. The album is a good one, sure Earthling and especially Outside were better, and Heathen is quite better too. Let's not even talk about the period 1969 - 1980, that is the "Golden Years"!
David Bowie Pinups
Voto:
I've never understood why this cover album is so criticized. Why? I think it's nice, it's well played, it's well sung, and on top of that, the choice of songs is excellent; that doesn't seem like little for a cover album. Of course, it's not as important as other albums, but the quality is good. 3 1/2
Deep Purple Live In Concert 1972-73
Voto:
I own the DVD, you’re absolutely right, it’s an incredible performance. Perhaps the best Deep Purple of all time?
David Lynch The Elephant Man
Voto:
Great review, but you shouldn't have given away the ending!
Ludwig van Beethoven Nona Sinfonia in Re Minore, op. 125
Voto:
It could have been done better; you should have avoided some inaccuracies, especially since you're talking about a true masterpiece of music. In the review, there's a sense that you aimed too much for sensational effects. These things can work, of course, but without overdoing it! I give you a 3 for courage; the review for content would be a 2. Are you sure that Symphony No. 9 is more famous than No. 5?
Vasco Rossi Va Bene, Va Bene Così - Live
Voto:
Vasco Rossi was never a genius, nor does he come close to genius, but he has nonetheless been important. Moreover, it's worth noting that in his early period he actually had something to say. Claiming that everything was pre-constructed to be rebellious is a superficial nonsense! I can understand if he doesn't appeal to everyone, but for someone to come and say that he was false seems to me completely incorrect and subjective! With what objective facts do some people make these claims? Whether we like it or not, Siamo Solo Noi represents well a generation that had lost its points of reference and direction. The eighties were the years of excess, of the exaggerated rise of consumerism, am I wrong? One ridiculous thing from that exaggerated period was the Concorde! That said, it is also true that Vasco's last 15 years have been a continuous decline. His recent albums are merely commercially driven products, made exclusively to sell! The fact that he is viewed as a guru is just the effect of the fanaticism his fans have!
Tangerine Dream Rubycon
Voto:
Great album (among the best) by three superb musicians. Tangerine Dream have elevated electronics like very few others. Huge, huge, huge!
