I don't think there's anything to say about the album... and the review (review???)... not even.

Not on my strings... the previous Niemen Vol.1 and Vol.2 from '72 (released a few years ago together under the name Marionetki) may have a higher value, but they are even harder to listen to and not just because of the singing in Polish. Besides Ode to Venus and Strange is this World, there should be a third one in English released by the then CBS like the previous two: "Mourner's Rhapsody" from '74. All the other releases are in the native language and might seem unappealing to those who don't have an ear prepared for foreign languages, even though they might be musically superior.

I completely agree with the reviewer, so I have nothing to add. I give the album a 3 even though I would be inclined to follow the footsteps of telespallabob (which I will now refer to as Bob, because otherwise it’s too long) and give it a 2 for how cloying I find it.

But I’d say even 4... there are some really valuable elements in this album, like the guitar in "Time for Bed," the now-classic organ in "One of a Group," now with some psychedelic influences from "Down Down," or both instruments together setting the rhythm in "Home and Where I Long to Be." Perhaps the next Asylum will be superior, even for certain Canterbury echoes that I particularly appreciate (who would have ever thought...) like in the fabulous "Reprieved," but this work is certainly not to be underestimated, on the contrary...

I have this album but...I don't know..I don't really like it that much..maybe it's because it's not my style.. "Shuffle" is probably the best track, but I think I'll skip voting for it, just like I do when I vote for the review (nice, though) so you end up with all 5s.

The latest album that just came out is "One Step Up... Two Back"; I heard a couple of tracks on MySpace and it really recalls the style of the more recent Camel. Anyway, I certainly can’t make any conclusions before I’ve listened to the whole thing... This one reviewed instead, I know it and it’s a great album, a nice offering.
