Skeletron, then enlighten us instead of throwing around phrases for effect! The meaning of what you've written is very clear!!! If you have something else in mind, then argue it next time!! And in any case, you didn't answer! You just said that I didn’t understand a damn thing! I wonder why...

Ah, at this point I would like to have explained to me why this section would make no sense? Because it deals with low topics? Because, on the contrary, the reviews are not appropriate to the level of the subject (then music is devalued, because there are plenty of catastrophic reviews here, we should close the site!)? Simple personal dislike for the visual arts? Bah!!!

It wasn't a provocation! Absolutely! To tell the truth, I didn’t understand your comment and why I would be considered snobbish! It seems to me that the users who comment and/or review here are quite diverse, and I’m very happy about that! Look, I’m quite anti-academic; for me, if you read things on your own, whenever and however you want, it's even better! I’m not talking about whether or not to be doctors of something, but just about knowing what you’re talking about when you talk about it! Otherwise, you stay quiet. It seems to me that the section is being criticized with nonsensical reasoning! "Exactly because you can’t talk about it unless you've studied the subject; it’s very different from talking about an album!" That’s an absurd statement! It seems like if something requires study, then it can’t be reviewed (this is a snobbish concept that, furthermore, promotes ignorance), and it reinforces the thesis that you can always and anyway talk about an album! Well, in my opinion, when it comes to art, there’s always a technical side and an emotional side, so it applies to painting, music, etc.! It seems to me that this discussion undermines everything being discussed here on Deb! And I deduce that if you don't want Dermiche, it’s only because you don’t know the subject and it doesn’t interest you! Many hope for the closure of both good reviews and less good ones, and even the decent ones. However, I also like you, Mr. voodoomiles, so I would like to understand where you saw arrogance.

All this talk is useless! Just because there isn’t a strong tradition in Italy for becoming music critics doesn’t mean that when discussing an album you shouldn’t have studied something!! You’ve educated yourself through your listening, if not more (and that’s the bare minimum)… otherwise, just look at how your reviews end up filled with nonsense!!! Even if you give 5 stars to an album that everyone else would rate 5, you can say absurd things (check the archive)! On the other hand, regarding the visual arts, there is much more academic/scholastic culture in Italy (just think that even in high schools we cover some art history), and you can't overlook this! The risk is that the review might come off as bookish, but in the end, what has been said must be taken into account! If there are in-depth studies on certain works, you can't not know about them! Otherwise, the review would be incomplete! And even if you manage to write something good without addressing all that, you can be sure you must have studied something beforehand, because otherwise, it wouldn’t have come out so satisfactorily! You can improvise as a critic, but if you don’t have 'luck,' you risk saying nonsense! And one might go well, but what about the next one? Finally, this section is uncomfortable for many because it makes personal cultural shortcomings more evident! Moreover, it is very difficult to find a BEAUTIFUL review because it needs to balance what has been studied with one’s own opinion!

hahaha how funny, we have reached the point of criticizing language proficiency! If they were judgments about the content, well fair enough, but come on... to cling to these things! bah

Oh my God, I'm getting old. Everyone has seen it, everyone is going to see it. I grew up with cartoons (well, these are computer-generated, but it's still the same stuff), I devoured comics, I still read them every now and then, I'm quite childish and so on... but I just can't bring myself to spend money on a cartoon, especially one that has no expectations other than to entertain a bit! The times I've gone are usually because others wanted to go and I'm a good sport, or because someone wanted to watch it at home, etc. and I support it all, but I don’t know! Then again, I have to say that some have funny scenes (for example, yesterday I caught part of Ice Age 2 on TV, but it was never my choice, and some of it was cute) but others are just so boring (I fell asleep during Chicken Little years ago in the theater). I don't have the urge, and yet I would have all the qualifications to be one of you!!! I'm having an identity crisis! Help!!!
