You may disagree with my view on the exposure of art (musical in this case), but then explain to me how you understand it. In my case, I simply wanted to emphasize that, in the end, it always comes down to sounds; every album is a collection of notes and instruments, but only those capable of astonishing are considered art. I hope this makes the statement clearer...bye!

I believe it's a 5-star album because it skillfully encapsulates the two sides of the band expressed in "Effloresce" and "Everyone into Position," namely experimentation and melodic taste, and it does so in a compact and decisive manner. Sure, it's a matter of taste, but I think it could become an album that many will draw inspiration from...

Well, unfortunately, I'm not (yet) a lover of Jazz nor of Coleman; however, I've listened enough to have an idea about it, this and Free Jazz, and it's the latter that I would give a 5... I love improvisation in every genre and that record is full of it with great class!
