A very beautiful and intriguing review. I am a happy owner of the original LP; each track is paired with a large drawing, all placed in a black sleeve with nothing written on it. The labels on the record are printed black on black, so you have to be a contortionist to read them. An American offered me 750 dollars, but I didn't part with it; I'm too attached. If you come by, I'll show them to you because, in my opinion, they have a strong connection to the tracks on the record. Best wishes to you. Elio

It was not the Garrone of Baldessano.

Back in high school, it was 1972, my art history teacher called on me, pulled this record out of her bag, showed me the cover, and asked, "What do you see in this image?" I confidently replied, "But, ma'am, it's an ear." She lit up and asked how I knew that, and I even more confidently told her it was Pink Floyd. Result: 9 in art history on my report card. Thank you, Pink.

Thank you, Jargon. I believe that often in judgments about musical currents, and consequently on the value of a work, there is a tendency to be too restrictive, allowing only those who historically fit within the reference dates to rightfully belong to that genre. However, I also understand those who do not share our opinion; without some boundaries, one would enter a rather unintelligible magma. I think this discourse applies very well to jazz, but in this field, I find that criticism is less rigid. Of course, I exclude the absolute purists. Have a good day, everyone.

I really like Mr. Giona's reviews and I believe I still have a long way to go to reach his level, but... I will definitely make an effort. I won’t rate the album because it’s been on the shelf for months and I haven’t found the time to listen to it yet; I promise I will do so as soon as possible because what you wrote really "inspires" me. Imaginary regards. Elio

Great album that I had been meaning to listen to for a while, today I finally did it thanks to your suggestion.

The reviewer evidently doesn't know the works of these gentlemen very well; otherwise, he would have pointed out that this latest album has a bit of a reheated taste compared to the previous "Specialist In All Styles," where the freshness was much more present. I do like reheated pasta, however, but strictly in a pan, and I would give this work three stars, while the previous one certainly deserves four.

Phallus Dei remains a cornerstone of Krautrock, and I’m very pleased to have read this well-written review. If I may recommend a book on the subject, I would suggest KRAUTROCKSAMPLER by Julian Cope, published by LAIN, as it can be enlightening.
Best regards,
Elio
