Reverend Horton Heat Smoke 'em If You Got 'em

The definition of a driving album piques my interest quite a bit, and I believe I will seek out these gentlemen who are still unknown to me. A very interesting recommendation (at least for me). Greetings that are not particularly respectful of speed limits (the American ones, of course).

I really like the review; it creates the right atmosphere, a bit gloomy, for Irrlicht which, let’s remember, means ignis fatuus. I rate the album 4 because I believe our artist has done better things since then; here, there’s the courage to release a work like this in '72 when everyone else was listening to different music. I still remember (I was 16) when I first played for my friends what was happening with Kraut; since then, many of us fell in love with it.

Great review as always when it's the work of Mr. Dr. I don't know them and I don't think I'll sprinkle ashes on my head because I'm not too attracted to either the cover featuring these very kitschy gentlemen or the genre. Warm regards nonetheless.

Original review that takes the alcoholic route for this album, which I won't rate because I've listened to it too little. The CD gives me more of the impression of a lysergic trip rather than a healthy buzz from white wine, which, by the way, gives me a headache; therefore, I prefer reds.

Nice review and the album is great too, with production by Mogol and tracks written by Lavezzi, Mogol, Tempera, Radius, and Dell'Aglio... it seems pretty good to me.

Great review (I really wish I had your ability to always delve into the essence of the album), excellent album that is a significant improvement over the two previous ones. Congratulations. Elio

I thank everyone who has passed through here for their always interesting critiques and the always welcome compliments. To Supersoul, I would like to say that I stand by my opinion: the record has some parts that might also make one think of its interpretation of tension and roughness, but it always softens into much more gentle atmospheres. The first track, in my opinion, is the manifesto of the entire work, and being very British, I find the association with R. Johnson a bit forced. In this regard, I can’t help but think that it's exactly like when you stand before a glass of American whiskey and a peated British one; between the two, there's a world of difference. Wishing everyone good summer vibes. Elio
John Scofield Flat Out

It's my turn now, dear Mr. Dr., to smear a generous amount of ash on my bald head, which, not finding any in the fireplace, I retrieve from the remnants of last summer's barbecue. I only knew Mr. Scofield from his last solo work of last year, "This Meets That," which I enjoyed very much. This work you mentioned, however, I will look into, curious as always about your impeccable recommendations. Not playing the guitar, I send saxophonic greetings that I can more easily produce.

I completely agree with the 4 stars for the album, which will be greatly surpassed by those to come in the following years with the gems we all know. Very accurate and easy-to-read review, as well as engaging. Well done Neu, you always take us all the way through your works with lightness and pleasure. Regards, Elio.
