Dearest, I also welcome you even though I am a novice on this site as well. The album is fantastic; you're right, it accompanied my youth, the review is beautiful although I prefer those a bit more ... freeze-dried. The cover you posted is the one that was censored, and I think we can all understand why.
"Can't Find My Way Home" deserves a separate mention; anyone who hasn't seen the movie "Fandango" should do so immediately, and during the final scene with this track, anyone who doesn't feel a little softened is because they have no heart.
I can't find my way home, and I haven't done anything wrong, but I can't find my way home.

@Cox: since the discussion is getting interesting, I would like to add something else. You’re right to mention Tavolazzi, but we must remember that during those years, a great revolution had already taken place in the world of jazz. Miles had recorded tracks that are certainly a source of inspiration for the Area, as they themselves admit, and Zawinul, with his group, was exploring territories very close to what’s on this album. That's why I find the definition of jazz more appropriate for them. I will meet Fariselli at the end of the year, and I believe that this discussion could be a good opportunity to ask him a few questions. Sorry, but I don’t want to boast about these things, but if possible through Debaser, I will keep you updated on the meetings I organize in my town to chat about music with the key figures of that time. Best regards.

The review is certainly well-written, but I disagree with some statements. For me, Area cannot be placed in a Prog context; their path of experimentation was much closer to jazz. I remember seeing them at least three times in those years; the first time they were supporting PFM, the second time I believe it was Gentle Giant, or perhaps Soft Machine, and they didn't receive much support from the audience. I would say they implanted ethno-jazz music on a very, very thin Prog skeleton. Regards.

Beautiful review, I’m not familiar with this album and I will look for it as soon as possible thanks to your recommendation, thank you. I have listened to other things of his that are not always easy for me, but his historical greatness in jazz is absolutely undeniable. Modal and tonal greetings.

A timeless review, my dear Mr. Doctor, I won't rate the albums this time not because I've never heard them, but because I heard them so many years ago that I really can't remember them. I will try to find them and give them a listen again, even though it's not really my kind of music. Warm summer regards.

You're right, it's an amazing record, just like many others by these gentlemen who have deeply influenced jazz singing in the past. Personally, I prefer Lambert, Hendricks, Ross as a vocal group, but they are no joke at all. Regards

I confirm your rating of 4 for the album and give a 5 to your review for clearly bringing to light an album that has been completely forgotten by everyone and certainly deserves a nice series of new listeners who can appreciate it properly. Best regards.
