Arvid Nelson, Will Conrad, José Villarrubia Kull. Il Regno Fantasma

Congratulations on the rediscovery! I don't have the comic, but I possess the collection from the Nord publishing house that you mention in the review. Additionally, I remember that in the '90s a film was made, "Kull the Conqueror," starring Kevin Sorbo. Robert E. Howard was a masterful writer at creating a certain atmosphere, there's no denying it, and while Conan remains his most successful creation, Kull also deserves to be rediscovered by fans of this early fantasy.

Mementomori, you’re a godsend! This work by Catena is truly remarkable, practically the first studio album entirely based on improvisation (excluding the "Violet Art Of Improvisation" collection and side A of "Opera 4th"), with results that can only be described as exhilarating. There's no need to reiterate that for me, Paul Chain is a deity.

As usual, I can't rate the work itself, but I give 5 stars to the review and 5 to the album, which I probably appreciate more than "Alkahest" (but still less than the incomparable "In The Darkness", a masterpiece on a galactic scale), although I can't decide if this is due to very subjective reasons. Anyway, Mementomori, you’re always a guarantee! As for Paul Chain's voice trying to imitate Robert Plant, I own the bootleg of a live show held by the Maestro in Pesaro in 1993, during which you can hear a cover of "Whole Lotta Love," and indeed, the part with the orgasms makes me laugh out loud every time! Regardless of all this, Paul Chain remains one of the greatest artists in Rock. Period.

Yes, tell me the truth, Don Callisto, that these people please you mainly because of the bregna!! (Bregna to which, if you don't mind, I would certainly confirm my approval)

To Dino Buzzati 5 stars unconditionally for a lifetime! Among the titles of this collection, I seem to recall only the eponymous story, which is nonetheless one of the most memorable of the Bellunese writer...

Accurate and timely review as always! I can't vote on the work, but I agree with the 4 out of 5 that you gave it. One thing, though, regarding what you wrote: I didn't perceive those vague hints at sounds from the Paul Chain era that you mention in the review, not even in the extremely venomous "Ogre's Lullaby" (the little bells in that track, however, remind me of a certain "Horrible Eyes" anyway)... Of course, this does not invalidate my very positive overall judgment of the work at all (on the contrary, I reiterate, for me this album is another masterstroke from the group led by the good Steve Sylvester), but where exactly did you perceive these references to the past?

Nice review and nice album (which I can’t vote for, but it would be 4 stars for me too)... Anyway, since you wrote that they are from Turin, I wanted to ask you: sorry, but weren’t they from Naples?

The cover is amazing! (does the face of the evil mushrooms remind anyone else of the legendary Eddie from Iron Maiden?)
