Alfredo, I wrote the darkness because I don’t understand jazz. I know Art Blakey, Monk, Armstrong, and many others, but only one album or at most two. With the help of Contemplazione (and anyone who wants to lend a hand), I’m slowly trying to fill this gap. JakeChambers, you told me about Corea’s origins; I wrote that he’s Asian because of the name, it seemed clear to me. I know very well that there's nothing wrong with liking Abba and the Supremes. I like everything that I like.

Honestly, Coleman just doesn’t do it for me. I have to admit that I've listened to very little of him. (Now I’m probably going to say something silly… for sure!) Charlie Parker just cracks me up; after him, it's just darkness. Except for one, Joe Zawinul, whom I consider a true genius. @Contemplazione, tell me your thoughts. I’ll tell you that I’ve downloaded Brad Mehldau and Corea; they’re good, but I prefer the Asian one (Great). But considering I’m a rocker and a pop lover, and for instance, I adore the Supremes, and Abba seems like a good thing to me… right?
