Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Rodgers And Hart Song Book
Voto:
Many of those you mentioned, I downloaded in the version he recorded for Blue Note. They are extraordinary; the piano playing of the "genius" is right there, in the foreground, without being overshadowed by exuberant arrangements, all to be enjoyed.

I quote there is, as I too have only "Los Angeles" and "Wild Gift."
Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Rodgers And Hart Song Book

I only know Ella when she was in Chick Webb's orchestra, and she sang: A Tisket, a tasket, a green and yellow basket..... she was delightful. I also know Rodgers and Hart, I've always considered them one of the greatest songwriting duos; besides the songs you've mentioned, "The Lady is a Tramp" is perhaps my favorite of Sinatra's. The review is good, and it convinced me to get the record. PS. I downloaded Thelonious Monk, and I find he was a true genius; my favorite composition is "Misterioso," as well as the famous "Round Midnight," which I knew from the beautiful version by Joe Jackson.

I like them, I dare to say, even though I only know 3-4 songs from the group. The next ones I'll delve into will be them. Good review.

I don't know this one, but I've always liked Mould.
Bob Rafelson Cinque Pezzi Facili (Five Easy Pieces)

Good review, the most beautiful scene of the film is, as you write: Bobby, in front of the bathroom mirror, looks "inside" for the first time.

One of Rafelson's best films, and one of the 70s.
