The Manhattan Transfer!! I listened to them a lot about twenty years ago. I loved their vocal blends, plus many old Hollywood and jazz standards were really beautiful and well-chosen. Write: "the debut of the group with the new lineup," but it seems to me this is their first album... were there other lineups before this one? Birdland is done very well, it's on Extensions.
