The Byrds Ballad of Easy Rider

Among the deeply discounted, I found great CDs (e.g. Big Star); I would spend hours browsing through various shops trying to fish out the ones that made me jump. As for the film, as I commented also on the Supersoul review, Dennis Hopper was inspired by "Il Sorpasso," in addition to the life of a hippie who still rides his motorcycle just like back then. The endings of the two films are similar.

I don't know them, but it's well written.

You don't question the fugazi, but I too prefer Repeater and Red Medicine... Masked as a banana republic? To me, it seems there's very little that's masked.

Not bad this movie, plus it has a good soundtrack.

I looked it up on Wikipedia: in April '77 the band added Lorna Doom on bass, with transitional member "Dottie Danger" on drums, later famous as Belinda Carlisle of The Go-Go's... so Carlisle used to go by the name "Dottie Danger."

I believe their latest work is God Bless the Go-Go's... I like it. After reading THEREALRAMONA's comment, I looked at the Germs' vinyl, (GI) and on the back are photos of the band members, Pat, Darby, Don, and Lorna, who looks a lot like Belinda Carlisle. It could be her under a different stage name (But I'm not sure).

Even though you described their sound well, for those who don't know them, I included a link in the DePlaylist.

I don't care if Scaruffi doesn't love them, (Everyone knows he likes dissonances) I like them a lot, my favorite song is Our Lips Are Sealed. The review isn't bad either. If someone considers them too commercial, they should consistently throw away almost all the music from the 60s, starting with the Supremes.

I agree with almost everything you've written.
