Tomorrow I will start reviewing my lovely summer escapades on those eager sunbeds wrapped in the dark atmosphere of the night.
Daniel Higgs Ancestral Songs

As Tarpit rightly states, Lungfish were among the most charismatic and compositionally valid bands in that Post-hardcore/post-punk scene of those years. Daniel Higgs has proven once again to be a great composer; "Ancestral Songs" is a glaring example. Kudos to you too, PVC, who as usual proves to be very knowledgeable on the subject and especially demonstrates that you are an excellent reviewer—keep it up ;)

"What drives me crazy about this man is his absolute and genius mastery of sound, as well as a caustic and abrasive cynicism." Kosmogabri's phrase is perfect...

For me, yes, I found "child" more inspired than "heavy" in terms of ideas and arrangements... purely subjective factor :)

Let's say that all in all, I share the same opinion as geb and psycho about Motorpsycho's music... this album feels very much like "craft" and lacks inspiration, with few ideas, and their creativity seems to have significantly declined compared to "Child of Future." Nonetheless, live, they may still be among the most charismatic and impactful bands in the rock scene. This album feels more like a sort of "revival" of their own career (especially the ‘90s); artistically and creatively, I believe they've already given their best. Anyway, maximum respect for this group that continues to perform live in a phenomenal way after a career of over twenty years—this is not something that many can claim, so I bow to them.

"The new drummer allows for a broader range of action (absolutely a must-see live)," I couldn't agree with you more. I went to see them live at New Age this November... incredible!!! PS: I'll be listening to the new album soon :)
