Paul McCartney Chaos And Creation In The Backyard

I’m dead serious. Tell me one revolutionary aspect (I only ask for one) about The Beatles. They certainly marked the fashion of an era, but musically they didn’t count for much. More than anything, they kept making the same little songs that had been around for centuries, missing out on the entire rock'n'roll revolution of Chuck Berry. This is true for the first part of their career (notoriously terrible); in the second part, they made records that were barely mediocre while artists like Captain Beefheart, Red Crayola, Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd, and Frank Zappa were experimenting with new forms (noise, psychedelia) and creating the greatest masterpieces of all time. The bands that draw on The Beatles are actually referencing a culture of the pop song from the '40s and '50s that The Beatles would later revive. Those who bought their records were behind the times. In The Beatles' songs, there’s no Vietnam War, there are no young protesters in the streets, there are no LSD orgies; there is only the reflection of a conservative society that wanted nothing to do with these revolutions.

Well, to say that AC/DC were a great band takes quite a bit of courage. Always those fucking riffs, all one a copy of the other, how boring. I can throw you an AC/DC riff too, in fact, I can give you a thousand, it takes me no time at all, just as I could easily make a thousand AC/DC songs, but not because I'm a genius, it's because they haven't done shit. Along with the Beatles, Radiohead, Elvis Presley, Iron Maiden, Michael Jackson, U2, Beach Boys, Nirvana, and David Bowie, they are the most overrated of all time.

Another thing? What... those four losers from Liverpool have never learned to make a decent record. Their songs are terrible and unbearable agonies. I feel nauseous just thinking about it... those overly sentimental choruses, what rubbish. The few decent songs they've made were still 40 years late. What a sh*t band, and to think there are people who believe they were revolutionary...

birbabirba, but are you a man? no, until now I thought the opposite... (well, after all the name "Birbabirba" isn't exactly very manly). I don't give one star to reviews because it seems a bit like shooting fish in a barrel.

Damn Woody, are you going to respond? You can't give this record a one without explaining yourself and then just disappear...

Tell me, according to what principle do you assign 5 to this record?
