In fact, I was lying about my age, I'm still 33 (until the day after tomorrow though).

Ah MACI, I almost forgot, I've always been curious to understand what you meant when you spoke of "clear inspiration" starting from the title of the song. Stretching my mind to the limit, I come to the name "Aenima," but what do we have to do with the holy Tool... nothing, obviously). I really don’t follow you.

Okay, he left a space at the end of the link, but as a seasoned debaser, you’ll know how to handle it. Hi!
PS: Is your name Paolo?

The bass sounds at the beginning of the track (and in general throughout the piece) also agree that they have a sound comparable to that of the "bergamaschi," but there are countless bands that use distortions and bass sounds like that. Being 34 years old (okay, fine, I'm still young... a little), I tend to draw from much older sounds, certainly not from those of the Verdena (a band I’ve never really listened to; I only know scattered pieces). Honestly, I don't think the beginning of the track (anemica) resembles them, but this brings us back to the discussion of tastes and personal opinions that I always try to respect. As for the CD, as soon as we reprint some copies, I'll be happy to send one your way. However, if you issued that decidedly negative judgment, I doubt that a higher quality listening experience will drastically change your mind. If you want to listen to it with better quality than that of Myspace, try this (provided that deb doesn't add spaces): www.pandasonic.it/audio/anemica.mp3

I always tell myself: "sooner or later I have to meet them"... but I don’t know why it never happens. This time I'm going to do it! I can do it for God!!... no, I’m sleepy, let’s see tomorrow...

Hello. What connection would there be between "Anemica" and Verdena just at the "title" level? Then, more importantly, is it enough to sing in Italian a certain type of piece with a certain sound to end up being compared to Verdena? I'm asking you out of curiosity, MACI, because having written and sung it (anemica), I can tell you that in the first version, in English, nobody compared it to the Bergamasque group, much less was I inspired by them (rather, partly by another matrix that connects both them and us). It's too easy and obvious in our shitty country, MACI, to make comparisons like the one you did when unfortunately the musical proposal being offered to us is quite limited for certain genres. I'm on board, however, when it comes to "personal taste" when something doesn’t convince. Fortunately, the few free things we have here are "choice" and opinions.

I had heard a couple of tracks before the summer. They struck me for the vocals (obviously). It gave the impression of being an important work, in many ways.

Well... with the last sentence you kind of undermined your honest review. Anyway, I don't care about the PJ anymore since No Code. They've become a bit stale, even though they still remain great, and I appreciate their clean image. People who don't brag even though they made history, but it would also be time for them to renew themselves, as you rightly said.
