hmm... hi maci. First of all, I hope this review doesn't become a battleground between you and Alessio (anyway, your problem, okay). Secondly, I'm glad you liked the scanferl. Back then, apart from being almost all just starting out, we were influenced by Pavement and stuff like that. Anyway, if someday someone opens a review space for today's scanferlato (the Lato), maybe we'll talk there about the fact that even after 9/10 years they still don't care about what’s being produced in the Italic nation (not here, otherwise a debate between you and Alessio would actually make sense).

an unreachable record, one of the 4 or 5 most beautiful of the 90s. An insufficient review given the work chosen for commentary, although I obviously completely agree with the author on the expressed concepts (but it feels too hasty).

I thought you were talking to me, but you were referring to the phrase from the other vortex. Anyway, it’s clear that it comes down to personal taste, so we can't really talk about "the best of the 90s," although it's perfectly valid if someone thinks that way. As far as I’m concerned, they were among the best along with 2 or 3 other groups ;) But let’s not dwell on that; it’s better to enjoy what they’re doing now and, especially, what they’ve done.

Hi Long. I don't think I said they were the best of all time, but unique, yes.
And then I don't understand the comparison with Kyuss, Jesus Lizard, Tortoise, Godspeed You Black Emperor... I mean, they're all great bands, but what do they have in common with each other and especially with mp? They all play genres that are more or less different... It's not the time to rank the best bands, otherwise, apart from going off-topic, we might start a... tricky discussion ;)
Anyway, I totally agree on Bestiale.

Hi almost namesake, thanks for your kind words. Just one thing: reading your praises for the group, it seems that the vote is somewhat in contrast... sure, a 4 is a high score... but... anyway, long live Norway.

mantric, if that's the case it will be a new "suburrata" (forgive the term, anyway coined by an enlightened friend). I can't wait.

Dr. adder, the cover is really blurry, but that's its charm. If you pay attention, the review starts with "Di giallo sfocato per criptarne il sorriso" ;)

Wow Alessio, I guess you can't wait for the Live. Are you going to Rome, Rimini? Anyway, I was thinking... I wonder how a Black Hole B.C. would have been with this Kenneth Kapstad on drums and half the album less. Well... maybe it's a pointless thought.

I was a beginner with the cookware. Then, after 9 years with the band, they straightened out my arms a bit. Now, however, I really only use 18/10 stainless steel pots. I've switched to a more portable musical gadget ;) After finishing recording the album with them (Lato), our paths diverged. Give it a listen when you have a chance/time; my ex-bandmates are doing nice things to be in Italy. Add "latosounds" after the classic link www.myspace.

Hi Alessio. Happy to see you in this review. I must say, however, that I agree with many things you've said and our viewpoints are not in opposition; I just didn't feel like giving credence to those who claim that L.L.M. is a return to the past or a new chapter in their endless inspiration. It is a new chapter, and it’s up to us to make it enjoyable whether on its own or because it evokes memories. I like some things, and not others... just don’t compare it to the past ;)
Regarding SonicheAvv3, well... "adolescent breath" wasn’t bad, but you can clearly tell they were miles away playing with a Kurt Cobain shrine in their pants. Ah, my piece was terrible? :) I remember it being wonderfully scrappy... off-key from our singer (a Pavement fan), but we had fun back then.
