Paloz, you made a good review; your criticisms are backed by arguments that may be debatable, but they are concrete, unlike the harsh judgments from some self-proclaimed music and film critics. This film indeed has its flaws, but they are certainly not due to the P.F., but to the director who often tries too hard in his films without being up to the task.

miciatigre, you are a woman just as I am a nuclear physicist... and the funny thing is that some idiots still fall for it and even court you... and then, is it really possible that to make yourselves look like women you always choose silly names like birbabirba, or whore-like names like yours?

I just listened to it for the second time. Great album that flows well and is instantly enjoyable, at least for me. You've captured the essence of the album; I completely agree with the references to a certain post-rock minimalism and the "discreetness" of the guitar and bass. The drums are incredibly lively, you're right, they really do sound semi-electronic. Mistaken For Strangers and Green Gloves are beautiful. Yes. Vocals reminiscent of Nick Cave... a truly classy album and one of the best recommendations lately here on deb.

It's true, even the Grateful Dead... maybe these albums are liked less, for heaven's sake, but they're definitely more significant than Sgt. Pepper. And that "She's Leaving Home"... it's an unbearable bore!! The review is full of naivety and clichés... The Beatles are pop, for me they have only a marginal connection to rock, but that's another story...

And anyway, 66 or 67, the first albums by v.u and all the others mentioned are better, I agree... and Revolver is the best Beatles album, in my opinion. That one's from 66! :-)
