All I need is to wake up to wipe out all the records of every "grunge" band on Earth! Just kidding (but not really) :D

Amazing album and I agree with Cornell, better than all the ones credited to AIC even though I loved works like Dirt and Jar of Flies. Useless review, sorry.

Beautiful beautiful. The very first ones I’ve never heard before, but now I'm curious. Always praises to the lions of sabotage! And also a little to the fake baroque chandelier that has nothing to do with the place but looks so kitsch. In November they’re bringing Atomic Bitchwax and Karma to Burn one week after the other. Bartle insists on the reissue of Ewige, since you’re basically best friends now :)

Listened to it. Luckily, it's decent, but I struggled to get to the end. There’s no track comparable to those of the past, I didn’t feel any thrill, and this is the first time it happens while listening to Alice. Some tracks are not bad, but everything that made the band unique is missing, meaning the emotional, haunting, engaging side of their music. And that was mostly delivered through Staley's interpretation. There’s no soul in this album, and what remains is little more than plain water. I didn't even hear the new singer, and I've always thought Cantrell would be better off staying quiet even in the good times. I still think using the same name after the death of a key member of the band (the soul of the group in this case) is shameful. These are not Alice in Chains.

Disc that really hits hard, even more powerful than the previous one, which I might still prefer just a bit for now. Killer opening track. Beautiful French page. Are they coming this way anytime soon? I wouldn't mind going to see them.

The best way to proudly carry the name of the AIC is to avoid tarnishing it with a shameful reunion.

Horrible. There is no Alice in Chains without Staley. Cantrell was the main songwriter, but who cares, the soul of the band was Layne, the band was Layne. If Cantrell still considers himself a great songwriter, he can keep releasing albums under his own name, but it’s clear that by exploiting the AIC brand, extra money comes in. Disgusting. And it’s disgusting as well that a collection cuts out “Down in a Hole,” a track I was drunk on for a good part of my life, and only pulls two songs from the masterpiece “Jar of Flies,” not to mention how they chose the tracks from the self-titled (heaven Beside You, one of their worst songs). It's been too long since I listened to them, you made me want to go back Cornell! Ah, “Love Hate Love” is the quintessential “grunge” song for me (assuming that makes sense), slowed to a crawl, anguished, disturbing, frustrated, and frustrating, almost causing physical discomfort.

Cult disco and ultra-semenal. Nice choice, but you could've spent a few more words on it, huh?

The live album kicks ass to the sparrows in flight.

Yes, rocky also struck me as a very shy guy, a bit out of place; he didn't inspire any dislike in me, anyway. We probably passed by each other without knowing it outside the venue right after the concert, we were practically next to jus.
