Here… I mean, no, what I meant to say is that… you’ve really pissed me off.
Arbouretum Song of the Pearl

3.5 rounded up because it’s Arbouretum and I love them, but a nice step back compared to its predecessor, a must for any lover of psychedelia. @popolo, the first one can maybe be defined as medieval folk, but the next two definitely can't. And neither can they be called slowcore. The review was already there, and it was much better than this one.

Discone. Country reinterpreted through a dark wave lens, an incredible and explosive blend. Masterpiece and great review.

@azzo, hang yourself. @core, I wouldn't know, the skywave is unknown to me.

Old man, I'm going to Rivolta on the 22nd; if you and Walter can show up, even better! The Ringo Deathstarr (only you know them, and you even mispronounce the name!) are actually delightful, I admit. I’d like to thank all the passersby for the appreciation. @alexander, I agree with you on the derivative talk. However, bands like MBV have really invented a certain type of sound, so they have objectively superior merits, if only because without them, this band probably wouldn’t even exist. @pixies, let’s just say it's about shaking our asses and exploding our brains together! @target, there’s also Interzona in Verona that occasionally brings out some nice proposals, especially in the psychedelic realm. New Age had a great lineup last autumn (Dinosaur Jr, Motorpsycho, Mudhoney), then almost nothing. As for Zion, I don’t quite understand what its future will be. @supervai, I can't complain!

No, in my opinion, there are no fillers on this album; the quality is always very high, but giving it a perfect score seemed a bit much to me, honestly. They have great personality, but they are still quite derivative. Preferring them over MBV is a bit like preferring the creatures to the creator, but then again, it's all a matter of taste. The big difference between the two bands lies in the mood—here it's much darker and more oppressive than with MBV, who, on the other hand, are more ethereal and "celestial." @kosmo, thanks!
