Beautiful album (like all those by Edwards, after all), even though it’s sandwiched between the two grand masterpieces that precede it (Sackcloth 'n' Ashes) and follow it (Secret South): the best of American country, folk, and blues filtered through dark-wave sensibility. A fitting and focused review.

I haven't had the time to listen to it yet. The previous one was lovely; I really hope they don't trivialize like some other shoegaze revival groups (like Radio Dept., whose latest work is little more than plain water). Anyway, maybe they want to break through, but a few months ago I saw them play in Bologna practically in a storage room in front of about fifty people...

One of the best realities in the Italian music scene, unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately?) consistently niche. If they were to reissue the masterpiece "Capelli Rame," I would be a happy man.

This is a little gem. It's just that not many better works have come out in Italy in recent years; it's a shame that so many judge after a "half listen." The Treviso-Belluno scene is nonetheless rich in interesting proposals. In particular, it's worth mentioning Public by Paolo Beraldo (who a few years ago, with the now-defunct Northpole, released an exceptional album), recently released with a new work ("Oracolo") for the same label as Clara ("Lavorare Stanca").
