Spacemen 3 profess with shameful ignorance, I was just starting to listen to them these days. J&MC yes, but they have never really grabbed me. Instead, Swervedriver are not bad at all on the more "hard" side of shoegaze, and Pale Saints on the more "pop" side.

I think I'm the only one in the world who prefers Slowdive to MBV :) And what about Ride? I put them in third place on the podium!

Well, the "walls of distorted guitars sprinkled with honey" are definitely present in Slowdive, maybe just a bit less steep... They’re nuances, but for me, a piece of the emotional depth in this the MBV have never written.

Great operation, the EPs by Slowdive should also be reviewed, as they are extraordinary (for me, the pinnacle of shoegaze, and not only, is their Just for a Day, but I know I’m going against the tide).

I was referring to the EPs by Ringo Deathstarr.

And anyway, I'm just waiting for the old cynical Azzo to say that the EPs were better, and then the page will be perfect :)

On tiptoe, I say that if the MBV delivered the absolute record, Slowdive provided the most absolute one. But I'm biased when it comes to the Halstead-Goswell pair (have you ever listened to Mojave 3?).

Damn, are you really the same Starblazer I used to know? It's true that the world is turning upside down! From Manowar to Leonard Cohen, not bad at all :)

But indeed this could easily be the new MBV album, which on one hand is a limitation (extreme derivativeness) but on the other hand is a merit (extreme pleasure).

Great Core, review on request :) I'm also putting it among the favorites, you know. Lovely record, what else can I say? Anyway, I’d say it’s more MBV and Slowdive than J&MC in this album, contrary to the EP.
