I disagree. SOTU, in my opinion, is more than a decent album, not a masterpiece, but it is quite enjoyable and I find it slightly better than its predecessor PTA. I also find comments like those from Ashanti quite inappropriate, as they criticize without reasoning purely based on bias. The DM may not be the extraordinary and phenomenal band they were at the end of the '80s and the beginning of the '90s, but they still remain clearly a cut above the highly acclaimed artists emerging from television talent shows.
