Enzo Jannacci Ci vuole orecchio
Voto:
I am tremendously ignorant about Italian music, including Jannacci. I will take this album and review it. Well written, good job.

Impeccable review aside from the final spoiler that could have been replaced by hinting at the ending.

This is a typical example of a film that loses a lot on television. The sound, the shots are crafted to perfection for the big screen. A blockbuster. I might watch it again.

To your excellent analysis, I would also add the fundamental importance of sound, not only at the beginning and the end but also throughout the entire film. A disturbing and constant background sound that helps to make the movie feel fuller and more distressing. Mrs. Höss is one of the most sinister and rotten figures I have ever seen on screen.
Antonio Albanese Uomo d'acqua dolce

A disappointment. I was 16 in 1997 and I was obsessed with Mai Dire Gol. I remember that while watching it, I tried to push the movie along, but nothing really progressed. A couple of laughs and not much else. Albanese, check him out in the latest dramatic film that came out a month ago.

As promised, I'm back for a second look. I'm a bit perplexed and disappointed. It’s been too many years since I read Murakami’s "Norwegian Wood, Kafka on the Shore, Flipper, etc." to pass judgment on your intro. Regarding the film, it has the merit of a compact runtime, great performances from the two main characters, as well as the supporting characters. The cinematography is superb, showcasing the Irish landscape beautifully, and the sound design and editing are commendable as well. That said, I believe it's the story that falters.
SPOILER
It feels as if there’s a missing beginning and end. The two protagonists are not kids, quite the contrary, and a slow incline turns into a precipice in a day. The friend who decides to cut ties knows that he will break the tender heart of the weaker friend. And yet, he does it. Justifiable, but a selfish act driven by the desire to live the rest of his life to the fullest. His passion is music, and to push away the friend who cannot live without him, he threatens to cut off his fingers if he doesn’t stop speaking to him. This development feels blurred to me. I would have understood better a murderous rage or a complete break. And that non-ending... maybe it’s just me not understanding why it collects Oscars while Babylon, which I watched twice, was panned. Tastes vary.

I’m going to the cinema tomorrow. I won’t read it but I’ll review it.

Well done, Flo! Beautifully written, a bit melancholic yet carefree and easy to read.
Van Morrison Brown Eyed Girl

Great writing because it is technical yet poetic and passionate. The song is one of the most beautiful by Van. I would say that’s enough.
