William Faulkner L'urlo e il furore
Voto:
I’ve never struggled so much to read a book; my brain was on fire because I was having a hard time keeping up. Kudos for the review, which truly captures the essence, and I’m taking your advice to try rereading it right away to see if I can understand everything better. As Bartolo said, I wouldn’t really recommend it, but it’s a reading experience that leaves you stunned, and the image of the stone launched from a slingshot fits very well. Favorite review!

Great film (the least for Mann), superlative cinematography and a captivating plot. I should watch it again because I might have missed many small details...
Rainbow Rising
Rainbow Rising

I believe that in the Heavy Metal realm, Rising is the most accredited album for being the progenitor of a considerable number of good/excellent bands that, without much imagination but with good technique and passion, sought to emulate and pump the music of Rainbow in the '80s. The problem is that then came the bands that tried to copy the reinterpretations of Rainbow, and now I can imagine there is yet another downward chain of "emulators of the emulators," leaving only a trace of violet from the rainbow of Rising. Therefore, from my point of view, without exaggeration, it is an album that, in its genre, deserves the historical adjective for the good/bad it has done. It's rare for a week to go by without stumbling upon a song like "Stargazer," "A Light in the Black," or "Tarot Woman."

Miss Foska, you are absolutely right. About that incredibly warm voice (the live link gave me goosebumps) and also about the artist's hotness... in short, 3 truly well-spent minutes ;)
Joel & Ethan Coen Il Grande Lebowski

They say (maybe it's an urban legend) that during the time of "The Snatch," Brad Pitt had a fee that was too high and out of budget for the producers of Guy Ritchie's work. When he read the script, he was so impressed that he decided to break the rule and significantly lower his fee just to play that character. Every now and then, thinking back to the rhythm, the dialogues, and the perfection of the figures of Dude and Walter in The Big Lebowski. Reflecting on this, I wonder how much money Jeff Bridges and John Goodman were paid to act in such a masterpiece. A supercult!

Beautiful review. It looks like a paella: it practically has everything a review shouldn’t have, with a ton of parentheses, asides, and paragraphs that should theoretically make it unreadable. Yet even though it’s as long as Mont Blanc and even includes a list, a curly brace (!), plenty of ellipses, quotes, etc.... Despite all this, it flows smoothly with that sarcastic and brilliant tone that I like so much. I had read here and there positive opinions about the remake. Your enthusiastic piece, even if I were to strip it of a star and a half, only confirms the quality of the product, which at this point, I might just go see. P.S. That day I was in row C6 and you were also a bit of a pain while verbally promising in a low voice to take out the guy in row A6 every time he opened his mouth unnecessarily. Cheers.
Federica Orsida La nostra storia

Anyway, we’re a bunch of assholes to criticize for free in such a way a young talented writer. A person who publishes online I Disegni di Elena - www.federicaorsida.it drawings like that must know how to handle a pen and, from my point of view, deserves a pat on the back in the form of a 5. If you ever come across this page, don’t listen to us and keep going: we’re just gnawing at our own bile out of envy…
Haruki Murakami Noruwei No Mori (Norwegian Wood-Tokyo Blues)

I enjoyed it, and it compensated for the modest experience of "L'arte di correre," which was definitely too pompous and rhetorical for my tastes. This story provides a vivid glimpse into adolescence, with a strong plot narrated with lightness and apparent detachment. Well written, and I believe I will read more from this author: "La ragazza sullo sputnik" and "Kafka sulla spiaggia" are the two titles that intrigue me the most. However, I want to wait a few months... Nice review.
