Great first half. To hell with sudden extinction events... The image of this progressive sand of continuous impoverishment is brilliant. The ending is a bit too American for my taste, but this is a nice sci-fi film where the special effects don't overshadow a beautiful story written by Nolan. Well done, and the lead is very focused and convincing. Matt Damon from behind bars.

I'm still half traumatized by their concert a year and a half ago that made my ears bleed for days. Devastating! The metal concerts of my youth now seem like candy in comparison. For my tastes, the Swas are too challenging, but who knows... maybe over time I'll learn to appreciate them. Very well done, Fede! The feeling I have, the struggle in listening, is exactly as you described: facing an impenetrable wall of sound. You rightly say it's hard to break down; I admit I’m unable to climb it. And I do love the granite walls of the Dolomites ;) Bye!

I like reviews that discuss lesser-known works. I didn't even know this film had been released, and if I decide to give it a chance, it will only be because of this writing that piqued my curiosity. Well done!

Every year I visit the forts where the Great War began for Italy. I have been to Ortigara, to Pasubio and its two peaks, to Paterno at almost 3000 meters, and to at least twenty other locations. Every time I find a trench, I think about how they managed a hundred years ago. They had no choice. The film is tough, sparse, essential—as it should be—not to forget.
