The demonstration of how the "metal world" can be ridiculous in certain cases. Aside from the artist's image, this little disc is, from start to finish, cashing in, polished, and immediate in exactly the same way, if not worse, than a mid-'90s Bon Jovi, and indeed the songs are written by Desmond Child (a true metal artist ;))). But Alice circulates with snakes on stage, the guillotine, and that artfully crafted image is frightening, so it’s metal! Ahahahaahah... this album has aged terribly. I'm going to listen to Love It To Death again.

The movie: the traffic scene is superb, shot masterfully. A film filled with tension and great actors. It's absurd that the audience appreciated it little because it was "slow": yet another demonstration that they don't understand a thing, at least in my opinion. Villeneuve is an excellent director, and his previous film, Prisoners, was also a great movie in its genre.

The first part of the first half has a good pace and is decent, then it turns into an almost embarrassing mess that they didn't know how to wrap up. 5 stars? Alright then, we have different tastes.

In my opinion, it's an excellent film. Unfortunately, explaining derivatives isn't exactly easy for those who are not familiar with swaps, futures, forwards, and FRAs. It's unsettling because despite what happened in 2008 (800 billion dollars to prevent the collapse of the US banking system), nothing has changed. The film's perspective is accurate because the protagonists win a bitter bet that has left millions of families in poverty, and in the end, they are remorseful, measured in their expressions of "victory." If they had worked to try to prevent the collapse or spread their information altruistically... Great job, Bale! A work that makes you ponder and flows well.

Seen just a few days ago. The idea is very good but, in my opinion, it hasn't been developed in the best way. The film has a rather wavering pace with sudden and violent accelerations (bordering on ridiculous in some instances) alternating with moments that are overly reflective and slow, exposing a generally mediocre cast that struggles to convey such complex emotions. The piece has the merit of being short and is still enjoyable.
Let's not kid ourselves: Animal Kingdom is a work of another level, but I also really like Australian cinema.
