synthesizing the review: Excellent Jude Law, good performance from Paltrow, a certainty Hoffman and Blanchett, and Damon who, like a good guy, transforms into a cold calculator. Sorry, but for me it’s a 1. With excellent, good, a certainty, you're not saying anything. Empty adjectives that don’t entice one to see the work. Regards.

I can't stand it anymore. These movies that are two and a half hours long, when you're lucky, hyper-complex to the point that you need to mentally prepare yourself as if you were taking a space engineering exam. And then you still can’t make heads or tails of it, so to avoid looking foolish, you end up searching for explanations online... is it art? I went to see "Crescendo," there were four of us. Social distancing was in place, and I understood the movie even in English.

A film that leaves no striking mark. A story is chosen like many other unknowns. One of those headlines read and then forgotten within a couple of days. An average man, as average as one can be, as the protagonist, and the risk of the film being a bit flat becomes almost a certainty. The theme intrigues and frightens me, but the film's development feels limping, with little rhythm.

The war seen through the eyes of a child. Bright colors, enthusiasm, pain, love, and happiness all rendered beautifully by a few characters that leave a mark. It's a film where there's little room for error in the search for fragile balances to make one smile and think without being offensive or ridiculous. I liked it.

Visually perfect (the only thing that justifies watching it in a cinema) but I found it a bit empty and overly rhetorical.
