You can sense that they were looking for lighter solutions, more hard rock (see "Open Up" or the cover of the Kiss song) but the result isn’t that impressive; their debut is a hundred times better.

How fucking amazing was this game... the Nintendo 64 kicked ass compared to any console at the time, with Zelda games, Mario games (I think Super Mario 64 is the most beautiful video game in history), and gems like Metroid... great times.
