So she is crazy, the album is crazy, and Karuki Zamen etc. is (if possible) even crazier. That's it, I'm going back to listen to it ad infinitum.

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by. The beauty of this site is that you can simply report groups/albums in two lines, without having to commit to analyzing them, and it all gets published anyway.
In the meantime, I’d like to let you know that soon I’ll be creating a FAKE account with which I will entertain myself by writing a sort of troll-review of the new Epica album. I hope to draw the wrath of certain human cases I know, who don’t frequent this site (otherwise I wouldn’t be here boasting about it), and who (probably due to severe OCD, or perhaps just an immense amount of free time on their hands) spend their days googling every single review/discussion/opinion concerning said band in order to intervene with long, pedantic, pompous, hysterical, and above all, idiotic comments. Take a look at the comments on the review from SpazioRock ( SpazioRock | Recensioni: Epica - The Quantum Enigma ) to get an idea. I count on your participation, make sure to join in!

It has always left me completely indifferent. I recognize its particular style and skill (even though this extremely hipster aesthetic makes me grimace), but its "dramedies" fail to entertain or engage me.

Meh. For me, a wasted collaboration. I'm going back to listen to the latest Swans album, you know...

I'm sorry for this kind of impulsive comment, but I couldn't help myself. I saw the film in a small cinema in Ravenna (7 hours of travel, but who cares, I'd do it again) because the leak probably won't be available for a long time, and since we won't have a chance to rewatch it for a while (especially on the big screen, where the experience is amplified to the nth degree) I was afraid the feelings would fade away.

Lars von Trier Nymphomaniac (Vol. I & II)
Voto:
Lars wanted to be a jerk and shock everyone at all costs with the various silly posters and previews, but at the end of the day this is a really nice dramatic film, with a bit of (black) comedy in the first part and more serious in the second (which I prefer). There’s a lot going on and the cooking time (four hours, managed perfectly without any dull moments) is more than adequate. I've seen very few provocations and there's nothing pornographic, I'm sorry for the detractors but they won't have much to hold onto. Oh, and I'm not a fan of the director; he’s made films that didn't convince me or that I simply didn't like, and Nymphomaniac definitely isn’t one of those.

Hilarious and absurd, there are a couple of dull or over-the-top moments, but it’s worth watching!
Matthew Barney The Cremaster Cycle

I could stand something like that for 30-40 minutes at most. Maybe I'll try the shorter one, but I'm not expecting much; it just seems like a pretentious pile of fluff.

Sad, flaccid, ball-breaker, hot air. A monstrous disappointment. And I had appreciated Traced In Air, you know.
