"Elevation" is the story of a flight, which everyone can interpret in their own way; personally, I see a movement of ascent to the sky, the smile of someone leaving this world, the neo-classical calm of the statues in my city's cemetery, where marble angels move undisturbed among the tree-lined paths, where pale bronze figures gaze down from their seats, finally free. Beautiful. It's a true pity not to see you anymore on these pages. As for the album... I can't fully appreciate this kind of music with a production that's too blurred and a performance that's not exactly "professional"; therefore, I give the original EP a 3.5, while the newly re-recorded version earns almost a 5... which, over time, perhaps, may not need that "almost"...

I only listened to "Dark Metal" (years ago) and I remember it being an awesome album. If this is up to the same standards, I’d gladly grab it; I urgently need to recover from that epochal mess that is Alcest's latest.

Pretty useless disc, in my opinion. A bit like the equally pointless experiment of "The Great In The Small": I can tolerate the first 5-10 minutes, then I move on to something else... (2.5)

Still staying on the theme of "hype" (and going a bit off topic), the new chapter of Metal Gear must really be a big cheesy disappointment. Not for nothing 1) they had at least the decency to drop the "Solid" from the moniker and 2) if it had been up to Kojima, it would have ended up in the trash; too bad that the gang that developed "Bayonetta" (!!) took the reins...
