This, like the subsequent "Astral," is a 2.5... Reserved for the sole "enthusiasts" of the genre and certainly interesting to uncover the roots of the group that created the Masterpiece "Wildhoney"... But aside from that, it doesn't do it for me... If Tiamat had maintained the inspiration from "Wildhoney" and the following (also beautiful) "Slumber" for a few more years, by now we would be dealing with one of the best bands of the last 20 years; instead, they burned through all their best ideas too quickly. A shame, to say the least. Anyway, it's always nice to see you on casapagina.

You’re probably one of the most boring and useless feics ever. Why not spend your time in a more constructive way, huh?

Yes, indeed they are somewhat unbelievable, as Declino rightly argues, but in the end, the album is enjoyable to listen to... Enough.

No but, I mean, come on, it's all fine, but seriously, damn. An average of 3.77 for this monument is unacceptable.

I only know that the first piece is a colossal blast, brilliant and entertaining, and the second one isn’t bad at all, crazy enough to keep listening until the end. From the third track onwards, I understood little or nothing... Too fragmented, verbose, in English I'd say "all over the place." I don’t think I’ll ever be able to handle the twenty minutes of "J'avais revé du nord." "Ballade" was a nice little record, but this one barely gets a passing grade thanks to its first twenty minutes.

I don't know, I've always adored it (4.5). Anyway, given the quite fluctuating quality of your feic-proposals, I expect you to review the underrated gem "In The Court Of The Crimson King" right after discussing two genuine milestones of post-modernism and

I just listened to "Winternight" and I'd say it's really great. I notice that on RYM they are classified as "blackgaze"... What the hell, it seems like any black metal that's a bit more "atmospheric/elaborate" has to be labeled as "blackgaze."

I get that horror is horror, but all I see here is a plot with absurd twists (not because of the gore, mind you, but there are scenes that genuinely made me laugh); sure, the cinematography is nice, the soundtrack is decent too, but the characters, especially the secondary ones, all seem completely brainless and act as if they've been deprived of their frontal lobe (since we're on the topic of lobotomies). And come on, that shitty scene where the "dead" guy gets back up just made it collapse even more for me. Predictable ending, but hey, it’s not like you can expect much from a splatter film. In the end, all the interest falls on the gore, realistic and self-indulgent. And it’s not enough to have a pregnant woman as an object of violence to make it more "profound"; at best, it just scares more, but the underlying substance remains what it is... a piece of junk.
