I'm waiting for a damn new album. But I realize it's like waiting for Godot...

Nothing special, imho.

I listened to it again last night and I have to say that "Especially Me" is one of their best tracks. Wonderful.

Discone. It would be a nice plump and fatty 4, but still a 5, the average of 3 seems a bit tight to me. :)

An unparalleled sonic assault. Period.

It feels a bit too school-like. It's not my favorite from the inglesotti, but at the same time, I see it as their most poignant and profound chapter, with its own mood—introverted, dark, heavy... And then "Violence" just shatters the heart; far from "relax"... Yes, yes...
Death In June The Rule of Thirds

I like Douglas that way. Him, his steady and deep voice, his guitar, and those two or three damn chords around which the songs revolve. The worst Death In June album? Well, I wouldn't say that; for me, it remains that disjointed mess (not that it had any clear purpose to begin with) of "All Pigs Must Die." After the industrial interludes that didn't really excite me, this is a welcome return to the classic style of "But What Ends.." and "Rose Clouds.."; of course, the levels are not the same, of course Pearce has aged and has long run out of tricks up his sleeve, and the substantial length of a rather monotonous album like this certainly doesn't help, but what pleases me most about "The Rule Of Thirds" is precisely its honesty, its sincerity, its being simply 100% Death In June without any compromise... An authentic reappropriation of identity, indeed. Shouldn't one expect much? Reading the opinions here and there, including this (as always beautiful) page, personally I didn't expect either little or a lot: but I knew I would find what I was looking for. 3.5

Truly unsettling and terrifying. Gray and gloomy like very few others. Perhaps it's my favorite DIJ from the '80s. The review is stunning (as usual..), among the recommended ones.

Surprising as always, the opening triptych alone is worth the purchase. A stretched 4 because after all it's still a mini album and the content remains fairly limited; "Lovetune For Vacuum" is still unsurpassed for now, but still very impressive.
