But that on the cover would be an industrial-chastity belt for virtuous droidesses?

I knew you would do it, I care about you. The album is a masterpiece for me, period, end of story.

Truly beautiful; perhaps a couple of episodes are not entirely successful ("Rembihnútur" and especially "Ég anda," can someone explain to me what that piece is for?) and some passages sound a bit obvious/recycled/out of context (the ending of "Varúð," a classic explosive crescendo that doesn't fit at all with the rarefied and elongated atmospheres of the album, considering the absence of guitars) but when I reach the title track, I can't hold back my tears. Not at the same level as "Takk," "Ágætis byrjun," and ParentesiTonde, in any case...

"Faith" was an excellent chapter and, while not groundbreaking, it was varied and bright enough to be appreciated from start to finish. I'm giving this little work a 3 just because it's them and because what they do, they do well, without any grand pretensions; after all, they already made the big splash a while ago. Negligible, ultimately (but not that long), monotonous, with all the choruses sounding the same and delivered in the same way ("MY HONESTY IN DEATH!!, TRAGIC IDOL!!, TO THE DARKNESS!!, CRUCIFY!!, FEAR OF IMPENDING HELL!!", etc.), few tracks stand out, variety that borders on zero... No comment as usual for the lavish praise that spills over among the various "official" webzines, more and more convinced that the audience of metalheads with their ears stuffed with culatello has lowered their standards below the soles of their shoes; now they settle for any half-hearted effort and refuse to admit that this damn metal has almost completely run out of ideas... The same goes for the latest Moonspell, another album that goes hand in hand with mediocrity, and particularly the latest Saint Vitus, which seems to be the new masterpiece of 2012 but to me just seemed like a nothing special. In my opinion, anyway, PL will at most make one more album and then call it a day...
