The Residents Duck Stab / Buster & Glen

The mp3 is a very important invention for having all the music you want at your fingertips; however, having the original disc or vinyl is one thing, while having mp3s scattered all over the computer is another. But then, punkisdead, how can you listen to and understand an album if you download one a day? For instance, I have downloaded a lot of albums that are worth it, but I hardly have the time to listen to them, and I definitely prefer to listen to an original cd. Naturally, I’m all for the web, and I think it’s a positive thing if someone can discover good music by cutting down the waiting time for years by downloading it. I believe sanjuro, in this thread, shows a bit of envy towards the internet generation, but on the other hand, I feel a little bit of that towards his (but not too much) if he really was born in '73.

sanjù, not to say anything but the way you attacked pretazzo isn’t fair, the intelligent person didn’t respond to the accusations. Anyway, I liked your review, I don’t know the album even if the residents deserve it... but are you over 30? I thought you were like 23... ps I get off with scaruffi, the only downside is that the computer screen gets ruined with all the come that jackass makes me shoot out...

Well dear anonymous, I’m definitely better off than you, since you don’t even have the guts to authenticate yourself to spew nonsense.

that tall and dry dry dry is joey ramone, perhaps the most important icon of punk, and he doesn't play anything, he sings..

Don't worry, I don't think at all that Blink are a band of a CERTAIN LEVEL either; in fact, their level is absolutely insufficient for me. I just think they were a great band in the pop punk scene, and besides that, I'm fond of them because they introduced me to punk. Naturally, it's obvious that when talking about the musical culture of a punk band, we don't refer to certain bands of a higher level, but to their punk predecessors.

dear ktulu, I don’t know what you’re referring to, in fact I really think you’re mistaken. I simply told you that the Blink took everything from bands like Descendents and Buzzcocks, so I think they had at least a bit of musical culture. I’ve never spoken about Soft Machine.. who knows who you’re confusing me with..

I know you’ve never denied it… I was just saying… anyway, now I’m trying to download these exodus, do you recommend the two best songs? Oh, do you know d.r.i.? They always do thrash but a bit more on the punk side, at least the early ones…
