Let me clarify something; I got to know Sonic Youth without knowing Nirvana, Cobain without Hüsker Dü, Wipers, Black Flag (My War) and Dinosaur Jr., and the Beatles wouldn’t even have made it as musicians. People like Mould, Mascis, but also Rollins, were the fortune of Cobain, something to draw inspiration from to make music. That he was a genius is beyond doubt, even if not musically (musical geniuses are others, Lennon above all). Alessio, I believe that if Nirvana hadn't signed with Geffen, they would never have become important. Nevermind would have taken on darker and more complex tones and would never have sold as much. And perhaps for Kurt, that would have been better… he probably wouldn’t have even shot himself.

manliù, I'm also into the hipster vibe, but I have to say that musically the "dicks" are well-endowed... vortex, the mdc were purely hc while the dicks were less powerful but with more influences, I totally flip on both of them... at the fest, what's important is that there are 100 reviews on iron maiden, pink floyd, and metallica; who cares about the australian rock scene… except for acdc…
