Congrats ngw, beautiful review. However, let's not forget that punk was born to stop the whole pop mentality that was growing at that time. So, it didn’t matter if the Pistols could play their instruments; the Pistols were only there to instill the punk mentality in the heads of the kids from that era and to bring back the origins of rock. If someone wanted to hear real punk, they would listen to Ramones, Buzzcocks, Germs, not the Pistols.

P.S. Lord, you’re a huge dickhead and idiot. I remind you that real punk isn’t what you see on MTV, but there are underground groups that, unlike your sold-out little bands, genuinely don’t give a damn about money and have real principles—like straight edge—and they don’t let all the wannabes passing by on the street screw them over like Mercury did!!!

ngw, did you forget that even the Bad Brains occasionally came out with some jazzy tunes? Anyway, in my opinion, hardcore is the exact opposite of sophistication. Back to Minor Threat, have you seen their DVD "Live at Three Shows"? I’ll just say it’s spectacular, plus I’m downloading a live set of them with the Minutemen!!!
