jerk you clearly don't know the whole story behind the release of my war and the SST. I certainly can't explain it to a piece of shit with a brain full of crap. Anyway, if the Melvins are crap it means Rocco Siffredi is gay and Berlusconi isn't a thief. Go watch a nice marathon of The Lord of the Rings.

Either you’re suffering from some illness or you’ve just binge-watched nine consecutive hours of The Lord of the Rings. You must be a real idiot... My War was released between '83 and '84; in fact, some say '83 and others '84. But how can you limit a band like the Melvins to metal? What will you say tomorrow, that Nirvana played speed or dark symphony deth grind merdal and those violent names you use to hide your shyness? Congrats, your review is really shit.

oh shit, human wrecks will be the assholes with your hearing. but how the hell can you say that this album has a metal sound? I've never heard bands with robust distortions completely opposite to those of metal. but how can you think, you ugly superficial fools, that the Melvins are a shitty band? They are too much to be metal. and then what the hell does it matter... King Buzzo likes Slayer... okay. Dale plays in Porn... the only cool and ironic shitty band... okay. Johnny Rotten played in PIL (you get it), Mike Watt moved from Minutemen to fIREHOSE to The Stooges... okay.
but who the hell cares? as soon as you find a glimmer of originality to cling to... huh? sure in shitland, that's rare. but how the hell can you think the Melvins are shit... the Melvins are too much to be shit... assholes go sodomize yourselves after slitting the throat of a virgin on a full moon night.

If you think of today's punk bands, I agree with you. They're worse than the plague. But if you're referring to punk in general, it means you've missed quite a few things. Anyway, punk is more than just music; it's an attitude, but that doesn't justify shitty bands.

Then to always respond to the know-it-all. Thank you for your attention. My group, from the choice of pedals to the vocal melodies, is deliberately retro. This happens not intentionally, but because of a spontaneous fact. The only album post '94, except for low and motorpsycho, that I own is precisely this one by the Melvins, who are still a pre-'94 band. In my opinion, nowadays, whether metal or not, everyone kind of sucks, and I honestly look more to the past than to the future of MUSIC.

I find you amusing, saputello. Know that. I'm not joking. Anyway, I believe that music has very specific boundaries. Good metal and bad metal, which, in my opinion, is at least the majority, resides in a separate universe compared to the rest of music. The crisis of originality doesn't only concern metal or even music. It's a total thing. The problem is the lack of honesty, and many metal bands are really dishonest (of course, not only metalheads), but I think it's easier for a metalhead to jump on the bandwagon of the winners. You just have to grow your hair out, dress in black, and wear combat boots, but this also happened during the grunge period (long hair and plaid shirt).

I don't think all metalheads are idiots; it's just that certain metal is really ridiculous (but so is rock, and certainly not less). For example, I like Mastodon and Black Sabbath, who are one of my favorite bands, but they also have a certain macho attitude. That's all. By the way, the part of the review referring to metalheads is exactly what happened. Why are there all these convinced metalheads among the comments of a review of a band that draws more from a specific type of punk (Black Flag)?
