Seen. A spectral film, tension in every frame. Hopper incredible, just incredibly incredible. Perfect review... nothing to add. The scene with the frame struck me as well, and in addition to the interpretation you give it, I imagined that Jonathan, now tired of his life and job, would put his head in the frame as if wanting to completely change his life in the immediate future... to become art, in short. Anyway, great film; if it hadn't started from the blue of a Wenders painting, it could have worked here in black and white as well.
