Hello, we’ve ended up in the swamp of the discussion about straight edge, where every time it’s like talking about the existence of God, a lot gets said and we end up going nowhere. I know many of the anecdotes mentioned because I’ve read American punk hardcore, which dwells at length on this issue, like that of coherence and the presence of women and gay people in hardcore, trying (and in a good part at least clarifying) to dismantle the clichés. That said, I believe that straight edge ideas were punk in the purest sense of the term, going against those ideals that had been the foundation of the punk movement from the beginning, let’s say they were so alternative that (at least in the beginning) they went against the ideas of their own belonging group (the punks). Then, in my opinion, things took a wrong turn, as often, perhaps always, happens in movements; there were confusions, extremizations, simplifications, and straight edge became filled with people simply seeking belonging, no longer genuinely interested in a lifestyle (and I'm not judging straight edge). Hardcore was disorganized enough and pluralistic enough to allow for the coexistence (not always peaceful) of far-right and far-left factions within the same scene, precisely because it was a very transversal movement with undefined characteristics. In '83 it died, only to rise again shortly after, but it certainly wasn't the same. This is my thought, sorry for the confusion.

It's always nice to wake up in the morning and find these groups reviewed. I also like that you didn't dwell too much on the controversial straight-edge issue, but in my opinion, this is an album that grazes perfection, a 5, without quite reaching it. Nonetheless, a fantastic album, as you've described it, brilliant songs, a fantastic frontman with a versatile voice that never gets boring (and that's important in a punk band!)

"Of course, while the major serves to make everything more complete and appealing, on the other hand, it wants its return: we are talking about singing in Italian, and this, as already mentioned, is a bit of the only flaw of an almost perfect album." Just for this sentence, you deserve 1 for life.
