Caravan In The Land Of Grey And Pink
Voto:
Speaking of the Canterbury Scene, I prefer R. Wyatt and the hazy East Of Eden to Caravan and Camel. Caravan (and also Camel) often make me think of early Focus. Anyway, why deny it? Listening to their albums – particularly "In The Land Of Gray And Pink" – is always a pleasant experience. I don't know if it's appropriate to categorize it under "progressive jazz" (I would rather say "symphonic prog" or "prog-pop"), but it is certainly far superior to much of the stuff being shoved at us today.
Pink Floyd The Wall
Voto:
It's a milestone of rock, but it doesn't reach the courage and completeness of other Pink Floyd albums, like Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother. If only there were works like this today!
Pink Floyd Atom Earth Mother
Voto:
Together with the album Ummagumma, I consider Atom Heart Mother the masterpiece of Pink Floyd.
Don McLean American Pie
Voto:
It's not a particularly important record, but it is part of the illuminating torches (in hindsight) of a season marked by interesting cultural upheavals.
Demetrio Stratos Le Milleuna
Voto:
A Great. And it is a shame that the work of the former members of Area in recent years is so overlooked. The musical research of Demetrio Stratos' old companions continues, and (even with the limitations imposed by the barriers raised by critics) it can be compared to that of Luciano Berio or Luigi Nono.
