Popol Vuh Hosianna Mantra

I liked the review. Original and not entirely off-topic. It includes, among other things, the names of Florian's traveling companions (and not "followers"). Furthermore, it underscores the timelessness of the work.
Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes Live at The Greek
Voto:
Review too short; very nice album. The temporary symbiosis has helped Page to relaunch himself (after some unconvincing projects) and the Crowes to add a pedigree gem to their not very extensive discography. We take off immediately with the joyful "Celebration Day" and, one after another, all the Led Zeppelin tracks are performed "like the Led themselves have never done."
"Stairway To Heaven" is missing... Who knows how the Black Crowes could have interpreted the most famous anthem of the old lineup of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant!

Okay!!!
Francesco De Gregori Alice Non Lo Sa
Voto:
biorky wrote: "as in 4 dogs, he just wanted to talk about 4 dogs"... Obviously, it’s not that simple. In De Gregori's lyrics, there are also literary references, as well as “sociological” ones (I put it in quotes to avoid attracting disparaging remarks). There’s a passage by Henry Miller that talks about three dogs; in De Gregori, there is one more. And it means something.
Tom Petty Southern Accents
Voto:
A formidable singer-songwriter of partly Indian descent, who, along with his Heartbreakers, has churned out a slew of brilliant albums ("Into the Great Wide Open" remains my favorite to this day) and is also responsible for the brilliant idea of bringing together artists of the stature of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison to form the Traveling Wilburys, now legendary in the world of rock.
Adriano Celentano Yuppi Du
Voto:
It's pointless to act snobbish: Celentano is one of the greatest icons of Italian pop music, and the very fact that he conveys environmental messages - even in musical form ("Ragazzo della Via Glück," "Albero di trenta piani," et alia) - gives him a special status in the realm of so-called "light" entertainment. "Yuppi Du" (the titular song is also noteworthy) rightfully deserves the cult status it enjoys. We're not talking about the paradigm of Great Cinema, but it remains an equally delightful product. A "well done!" to Ilpazzo.
Tav Falco' s Panther Burns Behind The Magnolia Curtain
Voto:
There was a time (very brief, fortunately) when I confused Tav Falco with Willy DeVille, and vice versa. It was because of their appearance... but not only that. Then I got to know them better, individually: in person, Wully DeVille is more entertaining (or was more entertaining), at least for me; but Tav Falco is even crazier, and no one can beat him on that.
Janis Joplin Pearl
Voto:
Oh dear, what a review! Blaming Janis Joplin for "wanting" to leave with Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix... The real review of the album was done by supersoul (see their comment).
