@cimbarello dear, but I didn't insult black metal by saying "it's crap." I simply listed a series of reasons why I consider it generally that way. And then you have to admit that with Burzum, the strongly personal lyrics inevitably find a release in private life. For example, George Fisher sings, or rather growls, about dismemberments, murders, massacres, etc., but I’m not aware of him butchering virgins to then rip out their guts from their vagina (oh how I love the titles of Cannibal Corpse songs ;) ..) while Burzum expresses his ideals and actively promotes the murder of his "enemies," and then he actually does it. Small difference, not exactly negligible. @vincent, it's true I don't know the genre very deeply... after all, if I had liked it, I would have listened to everything. Since I didn't like it, I've only listened to the major representatives to then resign myself to my tastes. Alright, okay, the clarification about the "strange that it doesn't appeal" speakers. However, as I told Cimbarello, I think it's understandable to reject Burzum based on his actions. Unique case, huh. Anyway, to conclude, I don't really like black metal musically... I appreciate the musical violence and all, but I prefer things that are more "defined" and listenable like thrash, death, and brutal. Anyway, I repeat that criticizing a genre based on its characteristics, which one may or may not appreciate, is certainly not an insult. Then saying that Varg is an idiot is not an insult or an opinion, it’s a fact. As for the rest, let's stick to my personal opinions.

even the best of Italian music? well, great album anyway. but I feel such sadness thinking about Ferretti today, Papa Boy, such sadness. he has renounced everything! damn it!

vincent accepts the fact that black metal, made of dirty and indefinable sounds, minimalist and monotonous parts, suppressed technique and compositional fantasy, horrible singing, questionable attitudes etc., may not appeal to everyone. not to mention the ambient parts of this album, it's a bore. de gustibus. however, to elevate a genre solely for the supposed decadent atmospheres it depicts seems exaggerated to me. as for the horrible themes, since dear varg has translated them into actions, it seems difficult to separate them from the character. black metal disgusts me, repulses me, I don't like it, I don't understand it, I'm incapable—put it however you want. anyway, I don't like it.

Is this fucking photo of Varg still around? What a sad and useless individual.. He might be a genius at conveying decadent atmospheres, but musically, even more than a lot of black metal, he seems pathetic to me. At least Marduk are a real band, they can play.. Burzum, on the other hand, just can’t. And this whole thing about the purposely disgusting sounds just doesn’t sit right with me. At least brutal music is violent but produced with proper skill.

It was right to do it, but you could have done something better than a simple note, just to point it out.
