John Zorn Kristallnacht
Voto:
You gave the only example that didn't fit: the soundtrack of A Clockwork Orange, with all the immortal pieces by Ludovico Van etc., is the true example of a universal soundtrack, even disconnected from its film. The same thing was said about Zorn in Bisius's review.

Van Halen pointed the way for the future of rock guitar in a strict sense, while Satch is more "ecumenical."

Well, I really don’t think Zorn is my cup of tea. Career orientation. The review, however, is excellent even for someone as inexperienced in experimentation as I am. I may not listen to it, but the reading was extremely enjoyable.

excellent reception, technical and punctual. satch is the guitarist I prefer, and this is his masterpiece.

I remember doing it only once, when the user cuntgrinder asked me about my musical tastes. As for the rest, I don’t know. Anyway, the 1089 comments are here: read them.

It's just that throwing that in there: besides obviously Slayer, Megadeth blah blah gave off a strong impression of someone trying to act like a big thrasher and worship the usual suspects! But it doesn't matter...

it's nothing special, but it's honest pop melody. now and then, a little light listening can be nice for relaxing. and if you don't mind, how to save a life is one of the few songs that played on mtv that I can listen to without feeling disgusted.

battlegods, shoot the names of the bands you like from the same genre just to look cool, especially since you’re not mentioning any underground phenomena...
Maurizio Pollini Pollini Prospettive - 1 Concerto di Brahms
Voto:
excellent review. I know Pollini only as an interpreter of Beethoven; in fact, I have always remained loyal to Askenazy's Chopin and have never tried Pollini's Nocturnes. Pollini is an excellent pianist, but also a great interpreter of Ludovico van, for example. I can think that this is due to the completeness of Beethoven's pages, which do not require as much emotional intervention from the pianist as the more uncertain Brahms, as Kyrielison pointed out. I can imagine, thanks also to the thoroughness of the review, how Pollini's martial and perfect pianism may not always manage to convey that sense of "sfumato," of indefiniteness in Brahms. I would like to take the liberty to recommend Gould's performances of Brahms; in fact, Glenn's problematic nature forms a rare and fascinating combination with the minor mode of the rhapsodies, for example. Again, compliments to Veramazzotta.
