It seems obvious to me that art evolves just like inspiration; simply put, the altered musical taste of modern artists doesn't fascinate me as much as older compositions. I don't doubt the qualities of the musicians mentioned, I just can't appreciate them as much. As for Rachmaninoff, honestly, I've only had orchestral works in my hands that haven't impressed me favorably at all. I will make sure to listen to the concertos. Conte, review something by Chopin, it promises to be an interesting debate ;)

Due to my particular idiosyncrasy, I cannot appreciate "modern" classical music. Let's say I can go as far as Chopin, Liszt among the Romantics, and also Brahms, but then, who knows why, it’s a blank space. Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Bartók: they simply do not resonate with me; I don’t like them. I am a classicist in the strict sense: it’s too easy to say Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert, but that’s the way it is. But the genius, the favorite, is one and only one: Johann Sebastian Bach. You took my review of the Goldberg Variations from me! :D Just kidding; anyway, I wrote a review of a concert by Brendel, and in May I will post a review of a concert by András Schiff, which I will undoubtedly go to see in Milan. Opera: the French Suites. I hope you’ll still give me the honor of reviewing the Brandenburg Concertos. I will do it as soon as I have the time and inspiration.

I say only that I've rarely heard such a "living" piano interpretation, in the purest sense of the term. And even though Chopin is certainly not my favorite among the greats of music ;D

Notice to all upcoming commentators: it's fine, by now the influx of reviews on Iron Maiden is monstrous, but that doesn't mean you should give a bad rating to the album. Simply put, you can't.
