Korpiklaani are great. No doubt about it. They are cheerful, goofy, alcoholic, and incredibly fun. Not to mention very badass, full-bodied, and perfect for beer-fueled moshing. That said, perhaps this isn't the best album to get to know them. I've heard a few tracks, including "Tapporauta," and upon a first brief judgment, I’d say they’ve done much better. Listen to "Tales Along This Road" and enjoy. Finnish regards.

If you had read my review on viking metal (or did you?), you would have seen that I also consider the costumes, mythologies, and assorted kitsch of the genre to be idiotic. That said, in the metal realm, I assert the greater quality of any Nordic product compared to DT. Listen to whatever you want from Falkenbach and compare it to DT. I failed the brie because she sings like crap anyway, nothing more.

alexander77 saint right away for the mystical fervor with which he defends DT. Is it God's will? Anyway, yes, I'm a 17-year-old idiot, or rather not even that yet, who listens to viking metal, and not only, and exercises his voting right giving a 1 to DT. Simply put, Awake is absolutely pretentious, exhibitionist, and inconclusive, so I give it a 1; all the others follow the same trend, so another 1. I like 1 minute and 37 seconds of Metropolis from I&W, until that loser Labrie starts singing, so out of generosity I give it a 2. That's the end of my opinions on DT, who, in any case, have the most obtuse fans ever. Read this review to believe it. I’m not here to highlight their nonsense because others have already done so, but a flat 1, absolutely.
